Production capacity for decorative laminates at Egger factory in Gifhorn increased by 20%
Based on the increase in applications for CPL laminate, Tyrolean wood-based materials manufacturer, has invested in a new continuous laminate press.The new line was commissioned in Lower Saxony, Germany, plant in early 2012. This increased sharply the production capacity by 20%. The company has created 20 new jobs with new laminate press.
Just like in 2007 included Egger further step in Add-on for Gifhorn plant by investing in the new laminating line and peripheral equipment for the plant, Lower Saxony, Germany. This increases the annual production capacity of Gifhorn with 4.5 million m2 (48.4 million square feet) to approximately 27.0 million m2 (290.6 million square feet). A new layer with 1,900 m2 (20,451 square feet) of floor space is built also in the coming months to meet growing customer requirements in logistics.
The new line from the company Hymmen is designed to fulfil specific requirements. "With new laminate press, we are improving our flexibility to better meet the demands of the market," explains Monika Wiora, Plant Management sales in Gifhorn. 220 people are currently working at Gifhorn plant with production seven days a week.
